"Rules were made to break" is the moto that influences the work of Bryan Acosta; he captures the youth culture of South Central, LA. Starting with his friends incorporating high fashion with hip hop, his goal is to put his city on the map. None of the "Melrose, Hollywood bullshit." The 25 year old Mexican-American is influenced by Phoenix Vizn and Ian Connor, blending black and white contrast with neon colors. His work is striking, its bold but most importantly it is authentically Bryan. He wanted to be an exotic car mechanic but now he will be satisfied with just owning them. With skateboarders, musicians and artists of all kinds captured with his lens, he will be the sought after fashion photographer in 5 years.
